So my exams are over now, and I have the rest of the week off. You know, this is great, except for the fact that I get things done when I'm under stress. If you leave me to twidlle my thumbs without any responsibilities, then I'll pretty much accomplish nothing. At all. Other than sleep and watch dorky anime. -.-
So because of exams I cut off the flow of my writing, and now I'm having a bit of a time coaxing it back again. I've been stewing over the details that need to go into the next five chapters. I'm going to get them finished, then take a break for awhile.
Lately I can't stop drawing and painting. I went to the art store and got a bunch of new supplies: A new set of paints, brushes, fine liner markers, and masking fluid. (YES!) I buy mostly the cheap stuff, because I figure until I can paint something truly masterful I'm not gonna drop big bucks on paints and brushes. (Along with my horrendous care of brushes- I'm sorry! XD)I've been trying more techniques, even sketching a little bit more. I'm trying to find a set style of my own. I'm trying to go for a cross between realistic/manga if that makes sense. Think final fantasy-esque? Lol, totally not getting there. So I've been browsing on tutorials, and the favorite work of some of the artists on here. They are the gurus. *bows*
Other than that, the weather has been kind of pooey hasn't it? I'm cooped up in the house, but I'm trying to be inspired. Well, not so much trying, just... opening myself up? Does that sound weird?
